Many on-line translation services will translate English web pages into other languages. Results vary depending on the language you want and the software you use.
We have made the text parts of some of our books into web pages, so they can be translated by these services. Click on the links from the covers of the books below.
- To use the Google or Babel Fish links on the left, simply click the drop-down menu and select the language required. Once you have translated this page, all other pages on this site will also be translated for you.
- For the translation services below that will translate web pages, simply copy and paste the web address (URL) of the English page into the ‘translate this page’ box of the service. (Copy the address first, then click on the links below and paste it into those sites you want to test.)
- If the service does not translate web pages you will need to copy and paste small sections of text into the ‘translate this text’ box provided.
We suggest that you try out all the options for your language to find the one(s) that work best for you. If a satisfactory translation is made, you should print it out for use in class alongside the Pearson text.
Unfortunately there appear to be no sites offering on-line translation into Pasifika languages such as Maori, Samoan, Fijian or Tokelauan.
